The Little Meanings of Self-written Poem

Filed Under (Art of Lingua, School) by evilgenius on 14-05-2007

Sajak,

Merupakan salah satu,

Puisi tradisional yang ku tak suka,

Ku memang dilahirkan untuk tak menyukai sajak,

Inilah perasaanku pada sajak.

Pabila sajak diudarakan,

Ku akan melelapkan mataku,

Pergilah sajak jauh dariku,

Pergilah mencari mangsa baru.

During Malay class, the whole class was divided into groups. We’re to create a verse of poem per person.

All in 5 short minutes.

The poem above was the one created by Bob. Well, she was always the angsty type of kid; that’s just her way of showing to Muallimah Siti that she hated poem.

I refused to do it, of course. Typical me. Muallimah kinda like force me into it.

"Nape tak nak buat? Senang je kan."

"Inspirasi tak de, muallimah."

"Buat je~"

"Inspirasi tak de kat sini." I tapped my right temple.

I lost the battle, of course. We can’t win an argue against teachers; they just know what to say at the right time.

I was partnered with Tasnim K. She was into her Chemistry PEKA, so I wrote ours. It’s not that bad; considering that I was inspiration-less.

Andai segala masih terbuku, When all are still in shadows,

Di kala awan masih lagi kaku, When the clouds are still intact,

Takkan ku ungkap walau sepatah, Won’t I speak a single syllable,

Takkan ku gerak walau selangkah. Won’t I move a single pace.
