I enjoy people-watching. Really. I can sit like a stoic statue all day and just stare at the passing humanoid. It kind of sharpen my observation skill; a skill that I’m proud to say I’m quite good at.
So here is the report for today’s observation.
———-
Aim: To observe the behavior of one of the prefects of Aman Islamic Secondary School (AISS).
Problem statement: What is the current mental state of one of the prefects of AISS?
Hypothesis: One of the prefects of AISS is stressed.
Technique: Observation.
Procedures:
- Observe the subject in class and note any change of behavior.
- Be vigilant and make sure no one notices.
- Record the observation.
Observations:
- The subject appears to have sprouted more gray hairs.
- The subject appears to be coughing several times in class.
- The subject appears to be sniffling all day. He also sneezed and excused himself to the loo several times today.
- The subject has been caught massaging his temple several times today.
Discussion:
- The subject appears to have sprouted more gray hairs. This can be easily distinguished as his genuine hair is black in color.
- The subject appears to be coughing several times in class and outside, too. This proves that the subject’s immune system is currently being attacked by pathogens.
- The subject appears to be sniffling all day. He also sneezed and excused himself to the loo several times today. This proves that he has caught the common flu.
- The subject has been caught massaging his temple several times today. This proves that the subject is having minor headache.
- Gray hairs, coughing, flu and headache are common symptoms whenever someone is stressed.
Conclusion:
- One of the prefects of AISS is stressed.
- The hypothesis is accepted.
———-
I’m not surprised. Prefects are doomed to eternal stress when they really perform their duties.
It’s just a matter of stress-managing. I am stressed, trust me, but as long as you:-
- Acknowledge it
- Identify the reasons
- Express it in a legal way ie telling someone. [As the lovable Suzumiya Haruhi says, "It (your problem) may not be worthwhile listening, but keeping it all to yourself won't do you any good either."]
- Find a solution
-you’ll be in control of your emotion, performance and definitely your life.
p/s: Serves the said prefect right for being stressed. Why didn’t he ask for the Vice Head’s help to handle some of the student’s problems?
Vice Head exists to help, duh. It’s general fact.
